“Tower Records” Returns!

Lalo Shifirin Twin Towers on LP Covers

We are bringing back Tower Records! Harry Rosenblum’s display of vintage records was first shown at the Reliquary in September 2013. Each cover features a representation of the Twin Towers as they appeared before the September 11th attacks and commemorates these larger-than-life icons of the Manhattan skyline. The display includes records from Charles Mingus, Supertramp, and Grandmaster Flash.

Tower Records will be on view in the Reliquary front room through September 2015.

A Lotta’ Love From Long Island

The kind people at Long Island For Sale recently profiled The City Reliquary.  Check it out here: http://bit.ly/1Ncfp7s

“If you think about it, it makes perfect sense that New York would be the only city to have a reliquary dedicated to it, and that the objects in that reliquary-museum would inspire a mixture of reverence and bafflement. Fittingly, The City Reliquary includes a section on the geology of the city, with soil samples from different strata deep underground. It also boasts a large collection of pizza boxes. And between the two there is the story of the city and the people who have called it home over the years. – See more at: http://bit.ly/1Ncfp7s
