LuLu LoLo new play
LuLu LoLo new one-person play: 38 WITNESSED HER DEATH, I WITNESSED HER LOVE: The Lonely Secret of Mary Ann Zielonko (Kitty Genovese Story). Written and performed by LuLu LoLo based on interviews with Mary Ann Zielonko–was performed in Provincetown, MA during Women’s Week, Oct. 2006. In 1964 Kitty Genovese was murdered in Kew Gardens, Queens while 38 people witnessed the crime–none of them called the police or came to her aid. No one wanted to get involved. On the 40th anniversary of Kitty’s death it was revealed that Kitty was a Lesbian and lived in Kew Gardens with her partner Mary Ann Zielonko. Forty years after Kitty’s death Mary Ann Zielonko granted her first interview.
