This year Bicycle Fetish Day becomes a teenager! We’re gearing up for our 13th annual family-friendly block party for bikes. Meet us on Havemeyer St. between Hope & Grand Streets in Williamsburgh, Brooklyn on Saturday, June 24, from 12 noon to 6 PM. Free and open to the public!  

Join us at our family-friendly event to celebrate NYC diversity and bicycles. Love your Bicycle? Bring your two-wheeled pride and joy and show it off. You could win a trophy, prizes, and a year of bragging rights!

This year’s street party for two-wheel transportation includes:

  • Classic Bicycles, Mutant Bicycles, Handmade Bicycles, unicycles, vintage BMX, Cargo Bikes, and more from clubs, nerds, & enthusiasts devoted to the bicycle!
  • Badass bike skills on display all day!
  • Music to get you dancing in the street!
  • An Alley Cat/Fun Ride!

Judging starts at 2 PM. Categories include:

2:00 – Best Commuter Bike
2:30 – Best Vintage Bike
3:00 – Best Small-Wheel Bike

5:00 – Kids Bikes

About The City Reliquary Museum:

The City Reliquary Museum & Civic Organization preserves the everyday artifacts that connect visitors to the past and present of New York City. It was originally established in 2002 as an apartment window display at the corner of Grand and Havemeyer Streets in Williamsburgh. It relocated to 370 Metropolitan Avenue in 2006. The Reliquary also hosts public events that invite neighbors and visitors to meet, exchange ideas, and celebrate the diversity of our city.

The City Reliquary Museum is proud to present its 13th annual Bicycle Fetish Day! Our block party for bikes will take place on Havemeyer St. between Hope & Grand Streets on Saturday, June 24.

To reserve a booth, submit your information below and pay the deposit through Artfully (see Event Details below). We’ll accept submissions through Friday, June 16. For a mention in our press release, please respond by Friday, June 2.

Event Details

Booth Deposit:
An early registration fee of $40 will reserve your booth space and help support The City Reliquary. Booth space includes 10 x 10′ of curbside space, one 6′ x 3′ table, and one folding chair.

To pay the fee, go to our Artfully donation page and type $40 in the “Other” field. Be sure to note “Bike Fetish Day” in the Special Instructions area of the Checkout page.

Early registration ends after Friday, June 2, at which point the registration fee will be $50.

The fee is waived for nonprofits, cyclist clubs, and advocacy groups, but all Bicycle Fetish Day participants must register.

Participant Rights & Responsibilities:
Merchandise will remain in the care and protection of its owners.The City Reliquary is not responsible for any damage or loss. The owner understands that photo documentation may be taken of his/her booth and used for press and other promotional purposes. 

Booth set-up will happen between 10:30 and 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 24. Displays must be packed up by 7 PM.

6th Annual Bicycle Fetish Day, Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

WILLIAMSBURGH – It’s a block party for your bicycle! Come and celebrate at our sixth annual Bicycle Fetish Day from noon til night on Havemeyer Street between Grand and Metropolitan Avenues. Biking activities, bike competitions, bike rides, bicycle advocacy groups and artists selling their wares. With a BBQ grill and more, how could you miss this yearly celebration of all things bicycle.

Bicycle Fetish Day – July 1, 2006

This year we will be hosting the second annual New York City Bicycle Fetish Day will be held July 1, 2006 at the new City Reliquary! This event is open to everyone who wants to come show off their ride. Local vendors will also set up booths offering bicycle repair, massages, food, contests and prizes. Check out the photos from last year to get inspired.
