Election 2016 got you down? Of course it does! Join us for a night of civic-minded commiseration with the talented Classical musicians from Loud Box NYC! Featuring the political-themed hilarity of Donald Trump’s 40 Greatest Tweets performed by string quartet and baritone, and Hillary critiqued Yo Yo Ma-meets-Pavarotti-style! No matter which candidate you’re supporting, come out for an evening of non-partisan collective catharsis.

Performances:

Spencer Snyder’s hysterical “Trump Tweets” presents operatic renditions of the Republican candidate’s NSFW 3 AM overshares.

Ben Murphy’s “Shades of Sacrifice” draws shocking parallels between now and the political times of Euripides, showing how little has changed in 2400 years.

Michael J. Vince’s “Elegy & Response” meditates on how political-inspired sadness motivates our actions.

Sheely Washington’s “Say” offers a poignant glimpse of growing up black in America.

Spencer Snyder’s “When Bill Threw FDR’s Wheelchair Down the Stairs” paints a different picture of the doings of Bill Clinton’s presidency.

Pieces performed by Schiele, a string quartet formed by Molly Aronson, Mujan Hosseinzadeh, Adrianne Munden-Dixon, and Michelle Painter.

Beverages available at The City Reliquary by suggested donation, with beer courtesy of Brooklyn Brewery.

Afterparty just across the street at The Federal Bar (367 Metropolitan Ave.)!
